Battery Exchange

The most popular accessory for GEN-X Robots is a Battery Exchange Kit. This kit enables an operator to swap out the battery pack of the GEN-X quickly, with no heavy lifting and no assistance. By exchanging a depleted battery pack for a fully-charged one, the run time of the GEN-X is stretched from over 4 hours to over 8 hours. This means that even if you are cleaning for two four hours shifts in a row, the GEN-X will stay with you all the way.

The Battery Exchange Kit includes a spare GEN-X battery pack, spare charger, and a battery cart. The spare battery is stored on the cart, plugged in and recharging, so that it is ready for action. When it is time to exchange the battery pack, an operator wheels the cart to the GEN-X and latches it to the rear of the machine. A sturdy, built in handle on the battery pack makes it easy to slide the pack out of the robot and onto the empty half of the cart. The cart is unlatched from the robot, rotated 180-degrees, the handle flipped over, and re-latched to slide the fresh battery into place. An integrated plug ensures that a proper electrical connection is made every time.
