One of the most surprising aspects of the GEN-X Floor Care Robots
are how easy they are to use. Intellibot has used advanced
technology not only to improve cleaning and reduce cost, but to make
the GEN-X as easy as, or even easier to use, than a walk-behind or
ride on. No specialized skills or training is required, and
even inexperienced users can be up and running in a matter of
minutes.
The first thing operators will notice is that the GEN-X does not
require a key...no more wasting time making copies and wondering
where the key went! A power button turns the machine on, and a
personalized password is entered on the touch screen to access the
machine. The touch screen is almost completely icon-based, guiding
the user through all functions regardless of language or skill
level. Help menus provide additional guidance, and users can
be restricted to certain functions for added safety and security.
Filling the scrubber with water and cleaning solution is easy to do,
thanks to the single fluid tank and wide-opening lid of the GEN-X.
Simply flip open the top of the machine and fill according to the
solution's instructions. Once the machine has been
prepped. the operator uses Manual Mode to transport the robot to a
designated starting position. In manual mode, the touch screen
is used to control the speed and direction of the robot, and to turn
on the vacuum motor and brush motors. A touch-sensitive strip on the
bottom of the ergonomic-handle engages the drive wheels, reducing
strain and adding precision. Once in position, the operator
selects the route to clean and Advanced
Navigation takes over.
The first thing operators will notice is that the GEN-X does not
At the end of the shift, draining and
cleaning the robot is equally simple. An on-board drain hose
is extended, and a single valve drains the solution tank.
Opening the tank door gives easy access to the filter baskets and
pleated metal filter that remove larger debris. Debris down to
5 microns are trapped in the cartridge filters, easily accessed at
the rear of the machine. A wrench is stored between the
filters for easy access, and with the housings removed the internal
cartridges can quickly be swapped out.
Even the battery pack is designed to be easy to use. An
external port on the rear of the robot is provided for the battery charger connection.
At the end of a shift, the operator simply drives the GEN-X back to
it's storage location and plugs in the charger. The battery pack can
even be quickly swapped out using the optional
Battery Exchange Kit.
